My comment
This is a very old poem. Some versions
have several more verses, but the extra verses I've seen are very poor
compared to the first. It looks to me like the extras were added on by
someone else (probably even several someone elses) to make a longer poem,
probably as a song.
A word-for-word translation might be:
You are mine, I am thine:
of this should you certain be.
you are locked
in my heart:
lost is the little key:
you must ever therein be.
This loses the rhyming pattern and the rhythm of the Middle High German
version.
